To strengthen your Association’s involvement in the political arena, BAMP has formed a local political action comittee that works in cooperation with the state association’s Pennsylvania’s Committee for Responsible Government (PaCAH) and NAHB’s BuildPAC. The Housing Industry for Responsible Government (HIRG) was created to support pro-business political candidates at the state and local levels. By participating in the President’s Club, members can support political candidates who understand and advance issues important to the housing industry.

Members may join the President’s Club at various levels of giving. Each level entitles the member to various degrees of benefits. All members of the President’s Club are issued special name tags for membership meetings and are acknowledged in BAMP’s Housing News magazine. Club members are invited to HIRG candidate receptions and government issues roundtable discussions.

As a member of BAMP, your business goes hand-in-hand with the health of the entire housing industry. Yet, you can NOT influence our policy makers by yourself. Only by standing together with the other members of the Association can we truly influence government polices and the individuals who make them. One of the most important aspects of this battle is helping to elect candidates who are willing to listen to our concerns and respond to our issues.

Your association dues can’t be used for contributions to political candidates. To conform with state and federal election laws, only PERSONAL or NON-CORPORATE checks or charges may be used to support political candidates and political action committees. Your privilege of membership in BAMP and its affiliated organizations will not be affected if you choose not to contribute. Participation is strictly voluntary. 100% of your contribution to HIRG goes straight to work for the housing industry to support and elect the best possible candidates to office.

THE MILLENNIUM CLUB

The Millennium Club performs a very valuable role in enabling the Association to meet its advocacy objectives. The Club, open to all members, is designed to maximize ongoing sponsorships and support of general membership meetings and other events. Benefits include:
