The Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh offers a variety of educational seminars, lectures and certification programs for our members at substantially discounted costs. Information on BAMP programs is available in the Association’s monthly meetings and in each issue of Housing News magazine.

• General Membership Meetings
  Held six times a year, these meetings feature informative lectures by industry professionals on current issues that impact the housing industry and are the basis for your networking efforts.
  
  
• Independent Seminars
  Throughout the year, the Association offers professional education classes on topics ranging from “Business Marketing for Builders” to OSHA Compliance to American Red Cross “Standard First Aid Certification” workshops. These programs are offered at the request of members and are an affordable means of professional advancement and regulatory compliance.
  
  
• Graduate Builders Institute Continuing Education Program
  This national certification program is designed specifically for builders and offered exclusively by BAMP in the metro Pittsburgh area. All courses have been designed to appeal to a broad range of members with varying backgrounds and levels of formal education. Courses offered range from business management to computer applications to estimating and scheduling. Participants must complete nine of the 12 courses to become certified.
  
  
• Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) Continuing Education Program
  The certification program provides professional credentials to remodelers who complete the educational requirements and who meet prescribed standards of business experience and practice. The CGR is the only professional designation program in the industry emphasizing business management as the foundation of a successful remodeling operation.
  
  
• Sales and Marketing Council
  The Council offers an educational program that helps teach professionals the "art" of selling new homes. Upon completion of the 24-hour course curriculum, BAMP SMC members receive the BAMP New Home Sales Specialist Certification. The program is ideal if you are involved in selling, marketing, or merchandising new homes. Membership of the SMC is required to receive your New Sales Specialist certification.
